The phone will be based on Android 8.1 Oreo under the Android One program with minimal Mi apps. The phone will miss-out on 3.5mm headphone jack and will be having USB type-C connectivity with Qualcomm Quick charge 4.0 support.

Reasons Not to buy

No Notch

The smartphone comes in a very similar 5.99-inch bezel-less design with metallic back design previously seen in Redmi Note 5 pro. With all the competitors in the market switching to Notch design, Companies Not updating the design as per the trend is very much unlike Xiaomi.

The new phone is a bit more premium to Redmi Note 5 pro, in terms of the Finished metal back and Rounded corners.

Heating issue

The heating issue and Xiaomi goes hand in hand, The smartphone makers all the previous metal body phones were prone to Overheating on heavy performance. That is Playing high-end games or recording videos.

The issue remains the same in this phone as well, The phone is prone to Over-heating, unlike the Mi A1.

No-headphone Jack

Is this phone too slim to not able to adjust 3.5mm Jack? The answer is No, the company could have easily adjusted some space for the headphone jack near the USB-type C or the IR blaster at the top. But the company has failed to adjust one, And now the users will need to carry either the Bluetooth headsets or the Type C to 3.5mm Adapter every place with them.

The phone doesn’t come with its own earphones inside the box, So your old earphones aren’t Type C and now the only way is to use Adapter everywhere.

With Honor play with Kirin 970, available For 19,999/- only, Mi A2 might have a competition at the range. While Kirin 970 beats Xiaomi’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC which is one of the best available in the mid-range.

As the Kirin 970 is up for grabs in a very low premium, the people there for performance might like to switch to the new Honor available in the same bracket.

Reasons to Buy

Th only sane reason to pick the new Xiaomi Mi A2  is its Flagship Camera. The phone gives one of the best camera results. Its camera can be put to compare with the cameras of the top-smartphones in the market available.

With 4k recording and EIS, the phone features one of the smoothest recordings. And with the Google Camera app built in, Things became even better.
