Samsung launches Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in India
Samsung recently unveiled their 2018 flagships in the Mobile World Congress. The new generation of the Galaxy S series is Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Now, Samsung India has brought the new generation smartphones to India.
The new generation smartphones feature Bezel-less infinity display and Fingerprint sensor at the rear.
Both the New Galaxy S9’s are very similar but have a few key differences
The Galaxy S9 smaller of the two sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on an Exynos 9810 chipset paired with a 4GB RAM and 64 Gb internal storage. The phone is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
In the optics department, The Galaxy S9 only features a single lens on the rear of the phone, but Samsung has packed in lots of improvements in its effort to ‘reimagine’ the phone camera.There’s a 12MP rear sensor with optical image stabilization, and a lot of the other features we’ve come to expect from high-end Samsung devices.
The Galaxy S9+ has the same display with a larger, 6.2-inch diagonal length.Under the hood, the smartphone runs on an Exynos 9810 chipset paired with a 6GB RAM and 128 Gb internal storage. powered by a 3500mAh battery.
In the Optics department, the S9+ features a dual camera at the rear end. It has one of the first Dual-Aperture technology, which switches between an f/1.5 aperture (pulls in more light for darker scenes) to f/2.4 (reduces the amount of light captured to keep photos from becoming overexposed).

Both come with the same design, same 8-megapixel autofocus front camera with f/1.7 aperture, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card. The phones also have some new features such as AR Emoji, super slow-mo video recording at 960FPS, and a variable aperture of f/1.5 – f/2.4.
Price and Availablity
Both will be available in the Indian market from the second week of March. Across both Offline and Online retails store. The Galaxy S9 will be priced at RS 57,990 and the Galaxy S9+ will be priced at Rs 64,990. Both the phones will be available in two version 64GB and 256GB.
