Oppo launches F1s for their camera centric F series

Oppo’s camera centric F-series has been growing fast since it first came out in January with the Oppo F1. The company added a yet another device to the collection the F1s. Priced at Rs17,990 is the might be successor to the F1plus. Just after the launch of the Oppo F1 “selfie-exppert” they launched an upgrade with better camera and hardware and obviously more price named the F1 plus, but the F1s lies somewhere between F1 and F1 plus which better hardware than F1 but at the same time cheaper and less powerful than the F1 plus.

Talking about the hardware the company decided to keep the same screen size as the F1 Plus(5.5″ inch) but the display is 720p IPS unit like the original F1. With the ram downgrading to 3GB and storage left untouched 32GB. If we talk about the processor it is very hard to say as the MediaTek MT6750 in the F1s uses the same true octa-core Cortex-A53 configuration as the Helio P10 inside the F1 Plus, only clocked at 1.5GHz. The GPU (Mali-T860MP2) is clocked-down as well. All this done just for the sake of keeping the 16MP camera.

In terms of the design the company has the same design pattern as in their other models a metal body with subtly rounded corners and chamfered edges, although not particularly grippy. There is a 16MP selfie camera and a fingerprint sensor doubled as the home button in the form of rounded rectangle with capactitive buttons one of each side which are completely invisible when not backlit.

The device is a good looking mobile device aimed at all the camera lovers out there. Wanting to own one of these camera phones? Well share your views in the comments section below.
