OnePlus 6 will also have a notch on the front similar to iPhone X: Reports confirmed
Recently in an interview with The Verge, Carl Pei (Founder of OnePlus) solidified the rumours of the next flagship, OnePlus 6 having a notch on the display. OnePlus have since its launch been an Android fanboy favourite next to Google smartphones. Recently the fans have not been very fond of how the company has been progressing forward with the design and price element of their smartphones. Carl Pei sat down with Verge to answer some of the questions which brought out fascinating information about the highly anticipated OnePlus 6. An exclusive image of the device was also launched by Carl Pei which seems very familiar to the recently launched Oppo R15 and Vivo V9.
In an interaction with The Verge on the topic of why they went with the notch for the OnePlus 6, Carl Pei said, ” With the cut out off the design it all made sense, It’s a very clear decision: More real estate for the user. In conclusion, learn to love the notch.”

He also said that their notch would be different to that of iPhone X and other Android smartphones. When asked Carl said that the notch on the OnePlus 6 will be smaller than that on the iPhone X and bigger than that on the Essential phone.
It is reported that the OnePlus 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The display featured will be a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The 845 SoC will be accompanied with 8GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128GB. All of this will be running on a 3450 mAh battery under the hood. The device will run Oxygen OS based on Android 8.0 out of the box.
On the Camera, we will have a dual-camera setup on the back which would consist of a 16-megapixel and a 20-megapixel shooter with dual-LED flash. The front of the device will sport a 16-megapixel wide angle lens.
