Nokia 6.1 Plus global variant of Nokia X6 spotted on Geekbench before launch
HMD global has been doing quite brilliant work in reviving the Nokia brand. Under them, Nokia has brought a wide portfolio of devices in the Global market. Recently Nokia launched the new Nokia X6 in the Chinese market, its first phone with the notch. After the launch, the global variant of the phone named Nokia 6.1 Plus is highly anticipated.
The new smartphone is expected to be announced on July 19th global event, Whereas the Indian launch will follow up in the subsequent month.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus is a smartphone is a well-crafted phone which sports 5.8-inch Full HD+ screen with Corning gorilla glass 3 protection and a Notch on top. The phone seems premium to its back design. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 paired with 3/4/6 Gb RAM options depending upon the variants. Internal storage is 64Gb with an option of extending using memory cards.
On the optics department, At the back, The phone has a Vertical dual camera design very similar to the Nokia 7 Plus’s design where the cameras are 16Mp+5Mp shooters with Carl-Zeiss(Tentative) branding which performs very good in Daylight. At the front, The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture.
In China, the phone was released with Nokia’s own Custom UI which was based on Android oreo 8.1 and delivers pretty much stock experience but globally, the phone will be under the Android One program. Which not only gives the fastest stock experience but with Google camera app, Camera will also have good image quality in Dark lights.
The score looks pretty impressive for Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, also it hints about the phone to be available in 4GB RAM. While the phone is expected to be launched in 2 other variants being 3Gb and 6Gb.
Price and launch
The smartphone is one of the most anticipated smartphones in the market, due to its top of the line features, Pricing and the Nokia brand which brings the feeling of trust and surety of performance. The new smartphone is expected to replace the Nokia 6.1 (launched earlier this year), With the price starting from 15,999-20000 for different variants.
The premium glass bak smartphone will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro, Asus Zenfone MAX M1 and Lenovo Z5. Also has an advantage due to its Type-C connectivity and the small size which fits in the hand well.
