Intel to launch 8th generation of the processors name Coffee Lake

Intel, The silicon valley giant. Just after a year of release of its latest processor. The 7th generation ‘Krabby lake‘  has got its successor is the name of Coffe Lake. Which is supposed to harbor performance 15% better than their predecessors.

Intel Processor

Coffe Lake will be the companies 8th overall processor generation. And it will also be the 4th generation chips to be based on the 14nm manufacturing node.

Coffee lake Release date

After announcing back in February this year. That Coffee Lake chips would surface in the other half of the year, Intel reassured us the validity of its claim at Computex 2017 held in Taipei, Taiwan.

Since Computex, Intel has started teasing for an August 21 Livestream reveal of the new Coffee Lake processors. the fourth run of its processors through a 14-nanometer process.

The Coffee Lake is rumored to be available in Two variants namely: i5 and i7.

8th-generation Intel Core i5:
3.5GHz base clock
3.5GHz boost clock
6 cores, 6 threads
1.5MB L2 cache (256KB per core)
9MB L3 cache
Likely LGA 1151 socket support

8th-generation Intel Core i7:
TBD base/boost clock speeds
6 cores, 12 threads
1.5MB L2 cache (256KB per core)
12MB L3 cache
Likely LGA 1151 socket support

Well, The Spec-sheet appears to be improved in many segments.

Coffee Lake price

Till now, Prices of the new processors are not yet confirmed. But are expected to follow upon the Price of the previous generation Crabby Lake. Which would make it cost $42 (£39, AU$66) to $350 (£415, AU$469).
