1. Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung launched its flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8+ in India in April this year at a price tag of Rs 57,900. 2. Oneplus 5: INR 38,000

Another worthy mention is the One Plus Five.Launched in June this year, OnePlus 5 is the first flagship smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer to sport dual-rear camera setup. The smartphone comes in two variants – 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage, priced at Rs 32,999 and 37,999 respectively. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery with Dash charging support. Running Android 7.0 Nougat operating system based OxygenOS 4.5 and sports a 16MP and 20MP camera modules on the rear end and a 16MP selfie shooter. Supporting Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity along with NFC, GPS, WiFi and 4G LTE, the OnePlus 5 has a fingerprint sensor at the front below the display that is claimed to unlock the device in 0.2 seconds.

3. HTC U11- Rs 51,990


HTC’s latest flagship smartphone U11 boasts of squeezable bezels. Priced at Rs 51,990, the smartphone runs HTC Edge Sense user interface based on Android 7.1 Nougat, the smartphone comes with 8 sensors on the side bezels to register the squeeze. It comes with 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone includes 12MP autofocus rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and Dual Pixel tech. There is a 16MP front-facing camera with a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. HTC U11 is also the first smartphone to feature three digital assistants — Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and HTC’s own Sense Companion. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech.

4. LG G6 – Rs 37,990

LG G6+

LG launched its flagship smartphone G6 in India at Rs 51,990. However, just after a month of its launch the smartphone received a price cut of Rs 13,000 and is now selling at Rs 37,990. The metal-clad LG G6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, with UX 6.0 layer running on top. It sports a ‘unique’ 5.7-inch ‘FullVision’ display that has a resolution of 1440×2880 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with 4GB RAM. And there’s 64GB of inbuilt storage, with support for microSD cards. Furthermore, it comes with a dual-camera setup at the back, comprising two 13MP sensor modules and a 13MP front shooter. Weighing 163gm, LG G6 is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with fast-charging support.

5. Sony Xperia XZ Premium – Rs 59,990

Finally, the last phone to mention is the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Priced at Rs 59,990, it was the first smartphone to launch in India with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch 4K IPS LCD display. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Also, it is secured with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 both at the front and at the back. Xperia features a 19MP rear camera with OIS, PDAF and LED flash and a 13MP front snapper. Also, Connectivity options include everything from 4G LTE to USB Type-C, with a 3,230mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
